Description

This is such a beautiful dress. I had it designed so that it looked very modern, but with a vintage look, similar to a Vera Wang dress I originally had my eyes on, but Sharon did a better job in the end. It\\\’s very slightly cream/off white in colour to give it a vintage look. It is a size 8-10. I\\\’m 5.7 and a half and my shoes were around two inches high, but the skirt can always be taken up. It\\\’s incredibly flattering as the top half is a corset, and the A-line skirt sits neatly beneath, (apologies for the dress dummy, it\\\’s a size 12 and so the top half does not fasten around it, I didn\\\’t want to force it)
It\\\’s hard to know where to start describing as it\\\’s made up of so many layers of beautiful different types of material. The material pulls up, a bit like a bustle, at the back with a corset top. I\\\’m asking 2,000 for it, or the nearest offer, I bought it for 3,000. It has no damage, it is truly stunning.
The top is made of a fine stripe material, which you can see in a certain light, and slightly covered with french lace over the top, at the bottom and eases off at the top, as if it\\\’s growing up, to tie in with the pleats and the lace on the skirt. It fits tightly around the waist and fastens with lots of little satin covered buttons at the back. It has a fitted bra inside, I\\\’m 34 A-B fit, but it needs to be tried on as a smaller back and larger breasts would also fill it.
The skirt is made of 4-5 layers. It starts with net beneath to give it a slight volume, over that is a plain satin, over that is a very fine silky net, over that is another layer of pleated transparent material, I think I remember Sharon saying she\\\’d imported Parisian pleats, and then a beautiful simple Italian lace finishing off the edges. Then over that is another fine silky layer of silky net to soften all the detail. It has a small train, which hooks up underneath at night so you can dance.
My favorite part of the dress was a beautiful pure silk veil which can be worn over the face, but I had it sitting over the back of my head with small flowers- stunning material, which reaches over the head and down past the train behind.
