Description

Beautiful “Francine” wedding gown by the Italian designer Rosetta Nicolini. This gown is currently selling for £1399 and I bought mine this summer from the Bridal Room in Frasers in Glasgow for my wedding at the end of September.

The material is ivory satin with a tulle overlay with tiny crystals which catch the light and offer just enough sparkle without being over the top. Its a classic, elegant and timeless gown which flatters all shapes, especially the hour-glass. It has a slight puddle train which can be gathered up for dancing or looped round your wrist. The dress is so comfortable and not as heavy as some other gowns. I was so comfortable in it all day. You’ll feel a million dollars in it I guarentee!

The gown originally had a bronze/gold ribbon around the waist but I preferred it in ivory so they kindly changed it for me. I think it makes the dress more versatile as it doesn’t restrict your choice of colour scheme for bridesmaids etc. It has an antique style brooch on the bow for a touch of added glamour.

The size on the label is 16 but this is more like a 14 as with all bridal gowns, they are made smaller. Please go by the measurements to get the perfect fit. Frasers did the alterations for me and I have had the the gown taken in at the bust and waist to fit 36 at the fullest part of the bust and 29/30 at the narrowest part of the waist. The hips are unaltered at 43 inches. I am 5.6 and wore a very slight heel of 1/2 inch. There is a seam allowance for further alterations if required.
